Gish Mill: A Building So Iconic, It’s on Our Town Seal
How important is Gish Mill to the town of Vinton, Virginia? This iconic building on Glade Creek has a well-earned spot on the National Register of Historic Places. It is most likely the town’s oldest structure, but it is also much more. Gish Mill was once so central to the local economy that it appears on Vinton’s official seal. Now it is entering a new life as a multi-use hub for retail, restaurants, and hospitality.
